Audio. Visual. Hacker.
My work focuses heavily on how technology changes the ways and means by which we can create art and/or music, and how collectively these, in turn, shape our evolving consciousness.
Hacking to me is not to break into systems to steal identities or government secrets, but rather to take the tools of creation given to me and push them to their limits, break them, surpass them, and discover new ways to use them which the creators did not intend.
This is what inspires me.
At the core of my creative process is my ability to evoke realities from deep within myself and transmute them into music and art.
Synthesis is my primary mode of audio creation. I have worked as a solo artist under various guises. I have co-written 5 songs which charted in the top 20 of the Billboard Heatseekers charts. My music has been featured in VICE, Mishka, NOW, and numerous other online outlets. In 2016 I was named one of the Top Toronto Artist to Watch by BlogTO.
Digital Media is my primary mode of visual creation. My love for photography led me to become an early adopter of photo-editing, design, and video-editing software. I was nominated for 3 Prism Prize Awards in 2014, 2015, and 2016 for my outstanding work directing and editing Canadian Music Videos. Former clients of mine include VICE, Sony Music, and The Museum Of Contemporary Canadian Art.
